MIDLAND, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- The Midland Police Department is investigating a Christmas Eve shooting that left one person dead. 

According to MPD, around 10:10 p.m. on December 24, officers responded to a shooting in the 5000 block of Pleasant Drive. At the scene, investigators found 49-year-old Seward Swann injured by gunfire. Swann was taken to Midland Memorial Hospital where he later died from his injuries. 

The suspect or suspects involved have not yet been identified and no arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
